With respect to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) the health and safety of our guests, our suppliers, our staff and the wider community is of the highest priority - nothing will change this.

New Zealand – Alert Level One and Will be opening our boarders with Australia and others very soon!
We are and always have been open for business as usual and can still provide you with our uncompromised award winning service.
Trans-Tasman Bubble
Whilst there have naturally been a few set-backs recently, we remain hopeful that the Prime Minister of New Zealand and Australia will succeed in safely opening their borders to each other as soon as possible and that other countries will then follow.
New Zealand is a fantastic holiday destination and with our ability to customise itineraries we can ensure a trip of a lifetime for both first time visitors and those coming back for more but still wanting a unique experience.
Our Flexibility Promise
Right now, it’s not possible for people to travel freely to New Zealand or Australia, and anyone with travel plans in the near future will need to postpone their plans.
To facilitate this, we have waived our normal change fees and will allow anybody who needs or wants to delay their travel to do so indefinitely without penalty from us.
Any payments you have made to us for your travel plans will be held securely and credited against future bookings.
Cancellation and change fees from some individual suppliers may still apply, but because of the strength of our relationships and longevity in the industry, the vast majority of our suppliers are happy to be as flexible as we are.
We ask that you work closely with your travel consultant regarding your travel plans - they are here to help.
We’ll Always Be Here
While the borders are temporarily closed, First Light Travel is and always will be open for business - we are already taking future bookings for both 2021 and 2022.
We’ve been here since 2001, and have delivered amazing NZ travel experiences for thousands of people - we are firmly established business with plans and procedures for situations like the one we face.

Government Advice for International Travelers
Hi Narissa,
Thank you very much for setting up our wonderful New Zealand vacation (March 2020)! You did a spectacular job during the planning in 2019 to line up places to visit and activities to enjoy, and gave us an easy agenda to follow and see the beautiful sights of New Zealand. The accommodations were excellent, all providing nice inside space, great locations, kitchens and laundry to make our stays comfortable and close to the action. We really enjoyed the tours, boat outing in Bay of Islands with great island views and close interaction with dolphins and cormorants, having special tour guides in Napier (Ron and ’39 Packard for Art Deco tours, Tim for superb wine tasting and dinner tour), Waimarino Glowworm Tour, Wellington (Kate for Lord of the Rings and WETA tour, and some nameless kiwis in Zealandia) and Nelson (Robbo for kayak tour to Split Apple Rock and other features).
We really appreciated your support when the trip was affected by the Corona Virus emergency.
You secured our US return flight early and kept us moving to safe places until we could get to Auckland and wait for departure. You were pro-active and always available to clarify things during that confusing time.
Overall, we had a very nice trip despite some challenging world events, we appreciate your flexibility and support, and we look forward to working with you for another trip.
