What Elizabeth says about this tour: What I really like about this itinerary is that it explores Fiordland’s northern fiords in a way that feels genuinely remote, wild and exclusive. Travelling by small expedition ship allows you to reach isolated waterways, dramatic glacier-carved landscapes and hidden anchorages that most visitors never see. I also love the balance between spectacular scenery, wildlife and history, with opportunities to spot dolphins and seabirds while learning about early Māori and European exploration. The whole journey feels immersive and unhurried, giving you time to truly appreciate one of New Zealand’s most untouched and awe-inspiring regions.
