New Zealand Self Drive Tour Reviews

From start to finish the experience has been exceptional. The planning, the booking process and the trip itself were amazing and highly recommend. There was nothing we did not enjoy or did not meet our expectations. We ended up doing a few extra things that we booked/organised on the spot because we were having so much fun (examples: blue pinguïns in Dunedin, Luge + zipline + bungee jump in Queenstown, and quad biking in Franz Joseph).

Natalie of First Light Travel did an awesome job with our accommodations. No doubt we will work with her again. We plan to visit NZ / Aotearoa again in the near future since NZ has a lot to offer to see and do. Having a printout of our Travel Itinerary really helped. Instructions were just about spot on.

We've never experienced a private transfer from the airport before and Marquee Limousines did a great job. Our driver was the first person we came in contact when arriving out of the airport, so with his ease, we felt that our vacation was off to a good start. Loved how he gave us insight of New Zealand's people and places. Budget vehicle was perfect size and smooth driving. Ferry ride and accommodations were perfect. Hotels/Motels were comfortable and nice with cozy beds. Really liked our first and last hotels.

I want to thank First light Travel Team for our wonderful 3 week holiday in New Zealand, North & South Island. I dealt mainly with Makela & Suzie and they were both really caring, professional and gave fantastic suggestions.. Despite interruptions from the Cyclone , they worked together to accommodate plan changes. Though I didn’t see some of the original destinations I wanted to, we could not go wrong in NZ since it’s so beautiful and staying positive and flexible in these situations really helped us make the most of our experience and remain safe. Some of our favourite spots were Milford Sound , Queenstown and Rotorua Mauri Dinner & Show.
