The most important decision we made for our month long stay in New Zealand was to use Amelia at First Light. We just gave her our goals and parameters for our stay and the itinerary she created from all the activities to the accommodations was absolutely perfect. I cannot stress how worry free our vacation was. I would not change a thing and will be recommending her and First Light for years to come. My one piece of advice is to make sure you spend plenty of time in the small beautiful towns. The bed and breakfast options are amazing!

Great experience working with First Light. Our trip exceeded our expectations. Thanks to Deb for doing a great job of making it fit our style, time and budget. We enjoyed our two weeks in New Zealand. Our only wish was that we would have spent three weeks. So many wonderful things to see and do. Milford Sound overnight cruise, bungee jumping, Shotover Jet boat, Waitomo glow worms, visiting friends in Wanaka and driving through the beautiful countryside were some of the highlights.

Wow, what a truly amazing experience, First Light Travel put together for our honeymoon. With very little input, other than knowing we wanted to experience the entire island in a 2 week period, she was able to plan a once in a lifetime trip. From the wine tours on Waiheke Island and around Nelson, the kayaking and hiking around Abel Tasman, the helicopter ride to the top of a glacier near Queenstown, the stunning beauty of the Milford Sound on a fly/cruise/fly day trip to the round of golf along Lake Wakatipu with The Remarkables as a backdrop.

My wife and I used Jo at First Light Travel to plan our honeymoon tour of New Zealand. First Light took care of everything, which was fantastic since we were too busy planning our wedding at the time.

They asked us for our likes and interests and planned out an itinerary that suited us quite well. Our tour hit some Lord of the Rings highlights, saw majestic nature in Queenstown and Milford Sound, indulged us with wonderful wine tours, and had some fun river adventures too. We got a bit of luxury, a bit of relaxation, and some adventure. We fell in-love with New Zealand and can't wait to go back. The trip was well organized and gave us plenty of time for travel from place to place. It was such a pleasure to have everything planned; we just showed up and enjoyed.
