It is no huge surprise to residents that their city has been ranked as one of the world’s most liveable cities. Melburnians love the city's vibrant energy, restaurants, fashion boutiques, café-filled laneways, cool bars, unbeatable galleries, spacious parks and village-like inner suburbs, each with its own special character. Melbourne has a population of 3.9 million people, is less than 200 years old and never sits still.  Spend your day exploring Melbourne, a cultural melting pot, that is host to major international events.

Cruise across the Tasman Sea to the Land of the Long White Cloud.

There are a few ways that you can travel from Australia to New Zealand. You can cram into a full plane, you can be the second person to row over, you could be the first to paraglide there, or you can spend a few days of absolute leisure while you enjoy the open ocean and all the amenities of a world-class cruise liner. This ship has one of the best interior architecture designs around and passenger flow is excellent. Solstice is also an extremely easy ship to navigate, even for first-time cruisers. Everything is clustered: all the entertainment is forward; the food is aft; and the money (casino, reception, shops) is in the middle. Even the specialty restaurants are all clustered on a single deck.

Sail into the narrow fiords of Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound and Dusky Sounds. Your ship will seem to shrink in comparison to the towering cliffs topped by lush mountain terrain. Fiordland is the largest area of true wilderness remaining in our country, and it has a very special interface between the land and the sea. Its national and international importance is so significant that in 1986 it was given world heritage status by the World Conservation Union. Fiordland has ecological features that are absolutely unique, in the true meaning of that word. The World Heritage Area of Fiordland is one of New Zealand’s most breathtaking escapes. Deep fiords, towering peaks, and unyielding native rainforest define this dramatic region, captivating visitors from all over the world.

Situated on the magnificent Otago coastline, explore Dunedin’s historic architecture and beautiful botanic gardens. It is for good reason that New Zealand's oldest city is known as the Edinborough of the South - 'Dunedin' comes from Dun Eideann the Scots-Gaelic name for Edinburgh, founded largely by Scottish immigrants, who raised the impressive buildings which now add much to the city's charm. These buildings incorporate a diverse array of styles from Tudor, Jacobean, Georgian, Carpenter, Gothic and Arts and Crafts styles also feature - to some very fine examples of Neo-Gothic. Dunedin is regarded as one of the best preserved Victorian cities in the Commonwealth.

Like the first Lawn Club at sea and The first Hot Glass Show. Some other things that set her apart are the dining venues - distinctive in cuisine, design and service. The food and the overall dining experience is taken to a whole new level in the cruising world. Once aboard you will discover why Celebrity Solstice is Australia and New Zealand's highest rated cruise ship.

The Bay of Plenty aptly named by Captain James Cook for its abundance in food, lush soils, sheltered harbours and beauty. 'The Mount' rises abruptly at the entrance to Tauranga Harbour. It is an extinct volcanic cone that towers over the idyllic Ocean Beach, a summer mecca for thousands of sun, sea, surf and sand worshippers. Mt Maunganui is synonymous with New Zealand's love of long summer days and balmy evenings on beaches and barbecue areas. By contrast, just two hundred metres away on the harbour, is a placid beach, which is safe for young children. As a main centre for summertime activities, 'The Mount' hosts everything from surf lifesaving events to beach volleyball, parasailing, sandcastle building and surfing contests.

There are also a host of day excursions to visit places like 'Geothermal Rotorua' or perhaps you would like to visit Hobbiton the set for the Lord of the Rings Trilogies - there is plenty to do - just ask.
