Cardrona is renowned among skiers and boarders for inspiring terrain and dry, natural snow. With 320 hectares of wide, undulating trails, open slopes, steep chutes and awesome terrain parks, there's something for everyone. Most of the mountain is serviced by chair lifts so access is easy and queues are rare. If you want to take a break from the slopes there's plenty of cozy cafes where you can warm up.

The Remarkables - 45 mins travel time from Queenstown

Today experience the wide open trails, native Keas (the only alpine parrot in the world), powder snow, spectacular views, sun-drenched terrain and unforgettable runs of The Remarkables. There's terrain here like you've never seen before and some of the longest off-piste (off-trail) runs around. The Remarks, as they're known to the locals, are set in a vast natural amphitheater, high in the rugged ranges on the Eastern end of Lake Wakatipu, which allows for a long, reliable season.

Stunning view of the Remarkables.

Coronet Peak - 30 Mins Travel Time From Queenstown

With spectacular views over Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu, Coronet Peak is the oldest and most developed ski area on New Zealand's South Island. Spread across a broad mountain, the large sunny field offers a wide variety of runs for all levels and on-site facilities are some of the best around. Tonight be sure to sample the local nightlife with some of your fellow travelers.
