We just returned from the trip of a lifetime for 22 days in New Zealand, with a little Australia thrown in at the end. It would have never been nearly as enjoyable without the help of Deb Evans at FirstLightTravel. She went out of her way to help us when we were in the planning phase. And once we were in New Zealand, the entire trip went flawlessly from start to finish. There were so many times that we commented, "That would never have happened if not for Deb's help and suggestions!" From the beginning Jo has been exceptional!! And she had to deal with planning a trip for 5 people, all who had never been to NZ, only having 8 days and of course wanting to see North and South!!! She had her hands full with us but handled it beautifully. Especially when our departure flight to get to NZ was cancelled, Jo helped us figure out which excursions to keep and which to let go and communicated with the excursion company to pick us up from the airport. Even throughout the journey, there were a few hiccups, none of which were the fault of Jo's, but she helped us and was very easy to communicate with. We all loved our trip and most definitely want to go back to NZ and would use First Light Travel again and Jo!!!!

Our vacation was perfect from beginning to end. All pick up and trips are always on time, guides are very knowledgeable to a point of information overload that we truly appreciate and enjoy. Every new town and city are so different and gets better everytime we move. From city to geysers and mud pools, to hobbit town and glow worms, to the Alps and beach and whale watching. We thank you Deb Evans for making an itinerary that included all our wish list. The only hiccup was the milford sound flight back to queenstown and the helicopter glacier tour that was cancelled due to heavy rains. This was truly a dream vacation. Again thank you.

My wife and I traveled New Zealand (South Island) for our honeymoon. Melissa, our service executive at First Light was super helpful right from the beginning, accommodating all our requests. The trip was super smooth with all event centre’s and hotels being pre-aware of our arrivals.

We wanted to thank you so much for planning such an amazing honeymoon for us. It was so fantastic to have been able to go to our dream location and to have it be everything and more than we could have ever expected. The timing of everything you picked was perfect, and the activities you choose for us were just amazing. We wanted to try and stop by the office in Auckland to say thank you in person, but we ended up going back to Hobbiton for the day! We cannot wait to be able to come back and see the things we didn't get a chance to see!

Shelley Kirk, our consultant from First Light Travel did an amazing job organizing our 6.5 week trip to New Zealand. We found First Light Travel on the internet and were extremely happy about the product they prepared for us. Shelley solicited lots of information from us and then organized a brilliant trip. We saw more of New Zealand than many Kiwi and had many wonderful experiences. Each day was a new adventure. Everything went off like clockwork and we met other travelers who had experienced lots of hitches. Shelley found us great accommodation, consistently, and there was good variety. When a scheduled outing was cancelled by the provider, Shelley was on top of it and quickly arranged a similar outing in a different city. When we ourselves had to cancel an outing, again Shelley was responsive and took care of it. One of our accommodation hosts commented to us that she liked working with Shelley because of her high level of organization, sending a reminder email the day before a guest was arriving. With the detail provided by First Light Travel, our Lonely Planet guide to New Zealand was superfluous,not needed and of zero help. Thanks so much to Shelley and First Light Travel for organizing a trip of a lifetime, which was a celebration of 50 years of marriage.
