I absolutely adored my time working with First Light Travel. From the first email I sent with a general inquiry all the way to the end of my vacation and arriving home, everything was smooth, clear and felt custom tailored for me! She hooked me up with a hiking vacation with a guided group and it was everything I wanted and more! I was even able to spend my birthday in Mount Cook Village, it was phenomenal!

“It was really like being on a paradise island and was so natural with almost no people, no stores! If people want to de-stress from city life, they should definitely go there!” “After hiking the island for about two hours I just laid down in the grass, listened to the ocean and the birds for some time – what could be better!” We just got back from ‘paradise island’ - Tiritiri Matangi. This wildlife sanctuary is located only 30km from Auckland in the Hauraki Gulf. Anne had gone for an early morning walk at 5am and spotted one of the rare kiwi’s situated on the island!

I cannot thank Suzie Thorpe and First Light Travel enough for designing such a lovely self drive vacation for us! Suzie was extremely prompt in responding to our inquiry, quickly provided a great itinerary, and suggested wonderful activities that really allowed us to experience so much of the country. She suggested locations and activities that we most likely wouldn't have found on our own. These experiences, such as the Tasman Glacier and kayaking in Milford Sound, made for many great memories. I am so glad we found First Light Travel and were able to benefit from their extensive knowledge of New Zealand!

Anne and I would like to share with you our experiences on our recent trip to New Zealand - A word that would best describe this trip is "WOW!". We both used this expression very often as it seemed that every turn in the road led to some terrific scenic views.

We also would like to thank you for a great itinerary. The accomodations were all better then I expected and car and NZ airline worked quite smoothly. I would be happy to recommend you to anyone planning a trip to NZ.

First Light Travel and specifically, Verity, were so helpful in planning our itinerary based on the things we wanted to do Everything went smooth and we enjoyed using our vouchers and looked forward to each of the next activities by looking ahead into the voucher book.

The level of adventure for our age (61 and 62) was just tailormade. We absolutely loved to go on bushwalks with local guides to the most prestine areas, which were nearly impossible to find on our own. The fear of getting lost in these National Parks would stop us of even trying to go there. The selection of cruises and boat trips was also something we wouldn't have found by ourselves. The overwhelming choice on the internet is confusing. The choice of accomodation in Kinara Country Homestay and 124 on Brunswick are good examples of top choices.
