We had a relaxing, enjoyable and beautiful trip to NZ in Dec2022, thanks to First Light Travel. We were meeting some of our other family members from Sydney in NZ, hence we wanted a flexible trip and First light did an excellent job by optimizing our time table .This was our first self drive trip and we were worried if we could manage but Danielle put our mind at ease with her patience and valuable suggestions/ advice . We wanted to visit New Zealand, but didn’t know enough to plan our own holiday. We also decided that driving would be very stressful (we are used to the right side of the road). Our agent asked what we wanted to do and what kind of budget. She then developed a wonderful itinerary. This itinerary included a couple of absolutely amazing lodges. And best of all, we had a private driver!

Flawless trip! First light was recommended by our friends. From the moment we connected with Jo, she was on top of making sure our trip was planned and that we were able to accomplish all of our travel goals. She took careful note of the activities we wanted to do, and gave us great recommendations on activities that she thought we should do. Every day was perfectly planned out, from what time to leave, an accurate description of the activity, and other recommendations to do in our (very little)downline. My Husband and I were only able to visit NZ for 2 weeks and somehow Jo managed to get us to all of our destinations with a couple extra stops along the way. Jo had great communication with us, and did everything she could to stay within our budget (which we thought would be impossible during the Holiday travel!) We had an amazing day with tour guide Debbie, who drove us through the Waiheke island, showing us the most beautiful spots.

Also we did two wine tastings at very special wineries and an olive oil tasting, which all were very good and interesting! Debbie welcomed us when we arrived with the ferry and was from the outset on very interested in us and gave us a very special experience, explaining everything you want to know about the island and more.
Before we knew the day was over, but it was for sure not our last visit to Waiheke Island.
