Pakiri Beach Auckland
Situated a 90 minutes drive north of Auckland City (100 km/62 miles) Pakiri Beach offers the best of the beautiful north. Here there is a 15 kilometer (9 mile) private section of deserted white sandy surf beach with unsurpassed views of Little Barrier and the Hen and Chicken Islands sitting close by in the Pacific Ocean.
Perhaps one of the most idyllic horse riding beaches around, Pakari enchants with pristine white sand dunes, riding tracks through native bush, Nikau palms and the beautiful fiery red Pohutukawa trees. These rides can be easygoing or exhilarating! Whatever suites, there is terrain and distance to suite all abilities.
On the more demanding or multi-day rides the terrain changes and encompasses pine forests through, lush farmland, secluded lakes, an estuary home to rare coastal and seagoing birdlife.
