Something for everyone

With around 30 percent of New Zealand's land area being officially protected with public access, there is no shortage of walking opportunities at all levels. Whether you are looking for shorter walks up to a day long or a multi-day track through remote high country, New Zealand has a lot to offer everyong from serious hiking enthusiasts to those just out for a stroll.

New Zealand's National Parks are spread from one end of our diverse country to the other. And while some more famous walks get a lot of interest and attract larger numbers of walkers, others like the Lake Waikaremoana guided walk are absolute gems that get you away from the crowds and into the pristine New Zealand back country. With literally hundreds of walking options there really is something for everybody and every level of fitness.

Our walking tours can take you through New Zealand's best National Parks and reserves, as well as to the volcanic and coastal regions our country is famous for. Experience nature as it should be - pure and pristine, including birds and other wildlife. Overnight walks like the Milford Track, Hollyford Track, Routeburn Track and Queen Charlotte Track are suitable for walkers of all levels, and there are also a great number of one-day walks like the Tongariro Crossing for those who prefer shorter walks.

One of many beautiful beaches waiting just for you!

Because of increasing popularity of these world renown walks, it is best to book well ahead with your reservation, especially if you want to walk the Milford or Routeburn tracks between late October and late April.

Accommodation options are limited only by your imagination. You can either 'rough it', sleeping out in tents or in more than 1,000 communal huts, or enjoy the relative luxury of one of our guided walks, with all cooking and accommodation provided.

Regardless of which walk you decide to do in New Zealand, we do ask that you take note of our New Zealand Environmental Care Code - a simple 10 point checklist to ensure your enjoyment of our pristine environment and to keep it safe for future generation
