‘Haere Mai’ … welcome to New Zealand. Now you can relax - you are officially on holiday. Everything has been taken care of, we will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation.

Leisure is the priority today and there is ample time to discover Auckland, ‘The City of Sails’. Peruse the central city shopping district and enjoy the myriad of gourmet dining on offer in the Viaduct Harbour, Wynyard Quarter, Princes Wharf and the Britomart Precinct.

For striking views of Auckland City and the harbour, take the lift up the Sky Tower, New Zealand's tallest structure or alternatively, you can learn about our history at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

Experience Giant Forests & Māori Culture on the West Coast

Moving on from Auckland we head northwest to the coast for our first stop, the wild black sands of Muriwai Beach. After a short walk we reach the perfect vantage point for viewing the 'stack’, the chosen nesting site of the thriving gannet colony.

Continuing our journey, we make our way around the shores of the Kaipara Harbour, taking in excellent views. We drive northwards and visit the Matakohe Kauri Museum. Above Dargaville we reach the mystical Waipoua Forest. Accompanying our guides from Footprints Waipoua we meet some of New Zealand's last remaining forest giants. Tonight we dine at our harbour side hotel.

Tranquil BAY OF ISLANDS

Setting out this morning we cruise the waters of the Hokianga Harbour. We check out the impressive sand dunes and those after a thrill get the chance to speed down the slopes on body boards. Saying goodbye to Omapere we visit Rawene and Kohukohu before touring the beautiful coastal road to Matauri Bay, soaking up more spectacular coastal views. Kerikeri is a thriving Northland town that is renowned for productive fruit orchards, arts and crafts. We pay a visit to the Stone Store, New Zealand’s oldest stone building. At the end of the day we arrive in Waitangi, gateway to the Bay of Islands.

Island Cruise, Dolphin Viewing, Historic Russell.

In Paihia we board our custom-built dolphin watching catamaran for a morning cruise of the Bay of Islands. On the way to Cape Brett and the famous ‘Hole in the Rock’ you will likely encounter the playful common or Bottlenose dolphins and, if conditions allow, you have the option to dive in with them using the supplied masks, snorkels, fins and wetsuits (optional). The cruise returns us to Russell in the early afternoon. Make the most of this charming seaside village brimming with colourful maritime, pioneer and Maori history. We take a trip up to Flagstaff Hill for wide views of the Bay before hopping onto the vehicular ferry to Opua. From Opua it is only a short drive back to Waitangi.

Galaxies of Glowworms & the City of Sails

Discover New Zealand's heritage on a visit to the famous Waitangi Treaty House, where Maori and the Crown convened to sign the nation’s founding document. The Waitangi Treaty Grounds showcase cultural sights, wonderful gardens, sweeping lawns and sea views. Later, in the Waiomio Valley we journey underground to experience the magic of the Kawiti Glowworm Caves - a truly magnificent natural attraction. Winding our way back down the island, we come to the country's smallest city, Whangarei and pass over the Brynderwyn hills en route to Auckland. Enjoy this vibrant city from your seaside accommodation.

Homeward Bound

"Haere rā" Goodbye! and Bon Voyage!

For our last breakfast together we dine seaside in the Viaduct Harbour. After breakfast you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport for your flight home. If you have time, there is always the option for some last minute shopping on Queen Street or in the boutique Duty Free stores.

There maybe time for some last minute excursions or shopping before making your way for your outbound flight. Our promise is to make your travels through New Zealand as hassle-free and hospitable as possible - ensuring that today you leave with a memory card full of photos, and huge smiles on your faces when recalling your time in New Zealand!
