This waterfall is not known for its height; instead it is famous for its immense, heavy flow that is funnelled through a narrow rock gorge. An average flow rate of 340,000 litres per second makes for a humbling spectacle and - during peak flood conditions - that flow rate can triple. There is a pleasant scenic walkway and a bridge over the falls that offers a great vantage point from which to survey the drama.
