Upper Buller River Grade 2 and 3 (A First timers & Family Adventure - for all ages)


The afore mentioned upper reaches of the Buller River provide the perfect environment for Family or First Timers wanting to get onto and experience the river. This beautiful stretch of water meanders through native bush and mountainous high country scenery -  with custom made paddles for children everyone can participate while experiencing riding the rapids or drifting through the crystal clear pools, while taking in the grandeur of the high-country setting - your very own family rafting adventure.

You have the opportunity to have a swim and jump from the rocks, into calm pools. Catering for children from five years and over this gives even the youngest tan opportunity to experience river in a safe and enjoyable manner.

Buller Gorge Rafting for Grade 4 and 5 White Water Excitement

 

Fast moving whitewater combined with rugged West Coast scenery makes rafting the Buller Gorge an adventure worth considering. Sweep through massive granite canyons and deep gorges on fast and furious rapids as the river surges through the confined gorges. 

But there is also time to relax as there are plenty of time soak up the scenery as you drift through the frequent deep pools that lye in-between the rapids, allowing you to view the lush beech forests and wildlife that inhabit the banks. With dynamic geology, like the unique Pink Granite Canyon is unlike any other, coupled with consistent rainfall allowing the river to be rafted all year around, makes this river both exhilarating and fun for both first timers and seasoned rafters alike.  The Minimum age for this section of the river is 10 years and over.
