Kayaking in the Coromandel

The best locating for sea kayaking around the Coromandel Peninsula is Cathedral Cove, where guided sea kayak tours operate in and around the stunning Cathedral Cove marine reserve.

Kayak tours are run from Hahei, (35mins from Whitianga, 10 mins from Hot Water beach) for simply some of the best sea kayaking on the planet.

No kayaking experience is necessary. Stable, double sea kayaks are used and qualified guides will give you full instruction and assistance.

Trips cover what we believe to be the most spectacular stretch of coast on the Coromandel Peninsula, if not New Zealand. Kayaking is backpacking on the sea. No rush, no noise, just you and nature at its best.

Tours are run daily tours from October to May, and on demand at other times.
