There
are a number of rivers in New Zealand where you can
experience fresh water drift diving. Watch as the trout
swim by and enjoy the current carrying you on your way.
Typically the underwater journey may
take you as far as 2.5 kilometres from your starting
point, with a maximum bottom depth of around 15 metres.
You can you fly along at eight to ten knots, aim for
a boulder the size of a car, and at the last second
zoom over the top. You are guaranteed to see trout down
the river, and it is amazing what drops out of bungy
jumpers' pockets!
